
BAMP organized its 18th Annual Conference from February 14th to 16th 2025 at Katihar Medical College, Katihar. The theme of the conference was " The Paradigm Shift in Diagnostic Medicine - Morphology to Molecular Pathology". The conference highlighted the advancements and challenges in the filed of pathology and microbiology.

Key Decisions taken after installation programme of new office bearers in the 1st Executive Committee Meeting of BAPM (2025-26)
Conference*: Scheduled for February 7-8, 2026, in Bodh Gaya (2026)
CME and Workshop: Potential venues include PMCH Patna, IGIMS Patna, JLNMCH Bhagalpur, SKMCH Muzaffarpur, and Purnea. Dates and venues will be announced soon.
Academic and IT Wing: Initiatives include an online teaching platform, quarterly newsletter/magazine, and biannual BAPM Journal.
Membership Drive: Efforts to increase BAPM life membership.

Account details were presented by our past President and present Patron and treasurer Dr Birendra Sir and it was decided that audited expenditure report of 17 th and 18 th BAPCON will be submitted by respective organising secretary in next GBM meeting
Present president of BAMP Dr A K Sinha formally announced the 19th Annual Conference of BAPM, BAPCOM 26 on August 15, 2025. The conference will be held from February 6 to 8, 2026 at Gayaji. The venue for the conference will be The Budha Resort, Bodh Gaya, Gayaji.

Bihar Association of Pathologists & Microbiologists (BAPM) is the Bihar Chapter of Indian Association of Pathologists & Microbiologists (IAPM). IAPM is a non – commercial professional organization. It was formed in 1949 with the objective of working towards advancement of pathology, microbiology and allied sciences. IAPM is affiliated to International Academy of Pathology (IAP).

In Bihar it was started as IAPM Bihar Chapter in 1988. The first president of IAPM, Bihar was Dr T C P Verma who was Professor and Head of Department Pathology at Patna Medical College. The first National Conference of IAPM was held in the year 1995 at PMCH, Patna. After a gap of several years BAPM was revived in the year 2014 by the successful organization of BAPCON on 8th and 9th Nov 2014 at Rajgir.

BAPCON 2025 would be organized at Katihar Medical College, Katihar from 14th of Feb to 16th of Feb, 2025. This would be the 18th Annual Conference of BAPM. The theme of the conference would be "The Paradigm shift in diagnostic medicine - Morphology to Molecular Pathology". The delegates attending the conference would be getting 12 credit hours from BMC.
